Description
SEX PISTOLS - NEVER MIND THE ... MEGA RARE UK PIC DISC LP 1978: This is your chance to bid on one of the most important albums ever released. It is of course NEVER MIND THE B*LL*CKS by the greatest PUNK ROCK BAND EVER ...THE SEX PISTOLS. The original black vinyl album (catalogue number VIRGIN V 2086) was released in the UK on 27 October 1977. In the ensuing picture disc/ coloured vinyl craze that PUNK ushered in, Virgin Records decided to issue a picture disc version of the album in the UK in 1978. This issue carried the slightly different catalogue number of VIRGIN VP 2086. The disc has the same photo on both sides showing the band on stage. Understandably this is now a prized collectors item for PUNK & rock fans in general. The record features the 12 song tracklisting including SUBMISSION as track 3 on side two. VINYL: The vinyl is in excellent condition with only a few light surface marks - there are some pops & clicks but I would point out that the sound quality on 1970s PICTURE DISCS is not always as good as the standard releases due to the process used in pressing the records. Having said that I have listened to some of the tracks & the sound quality is fine. However it is highly unlikely that you will be buying this record to listen to it. It is to be gazed upon & admired. SLEEVE: The DIE CUT sleeve is in excellent condition. There is some light creasing & very minor edge & corner wear. The print on the front cover of the word "NEVER" looks like it may have run slightly during the printing process (see photo). THESE RECORDS DO NOT COME UP FOR SALE OFTEN SO DON'T MISS OUT!!
