Stunning vinyl copy of the debut (only proper) Sex Pistols album Never Mind The Bollocks , Here's The Sex Pistols. Released in October 1977 on Virgin Records. The catalogue number is V 2086. The matrix etchings read A5/B5 (see my very clear pictures).
I can't stress just how beautiful the vinyl is with this copy. I honestly can't find a flaw. Just about as true to its original condition when it was pressed 28 years ago. Not a rare album per se,but a VERY rare album in this condition. Not a blemish on it,so good luck finding another,better copy. I am giving this my highest grade of NEAR MINT. I shall leave the purists to check the song writing credits etc on the label as I know Pistols collectors like to go through these things with a fine tooth comb at times. But this is for sure a 1977 original and not a later repress/reissue.
The sleeve,notoriously flimsy, remains intact. It has wear to the spine and light to medium creasing but totally intact with no splits. Not the VERY finest example of the sleeve but in my experience, WAY better than the vast majority of the Bollocks sleeves that crop up on the 2nd hand market. Graded Excellent-. I would say this was a copy that has just been stored for a long long time,probably without a protective polythene sleeve but very very rarely played. So that just about covers it without being too anoraky! However,any questions are of course welcomed. Good luck should you wish to bid.
RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM MINT :The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed be Mint. EXCELLENT :The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD :The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. I may use a + or a - to emphasise a grading which may be inbetween a grade. I will never use a mint grading for a 2nd hand/used record for instance. Mint- will be the very highest grade. PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT,AND WILL NOT,RETRACT A BID FOR ANYONE REGARDLESS OF THE EXCUSE.THIS IS SOMETHING YOU WILL HAVE TO DO YOURSELF USING THE BID RETRACTION FORM AND EARN A BID RETRACTION STRIKE AGAINST YOURSELF.Paypal ONLY accepted.
