Description

After 32 years of buying punk rock records - with no plans of stopping - storage is becoming an issue so it's time to offload a few. The records I am listing are mainly doubles which I have either bought in error or replaced because I've found a better copy.

I am a fan, not a trader. This is the 1st time I’ve ever sold anything as reflected by my feedback – 100% positive from a vast number of purchases and I intend to maintain that rating as a seller. I have just changed my user name, partly to reflect my newfound urge to sell but mainly ‘cos the old one was totally naff! (This is my 3rd weekend of selling stuff and the feedback from my buyers so far is all positive, please check it out).

I didn’t have time to listen to some of these records before listing them so if you feel the item is not as described then please contact me and I will consider a refund for returns. My descriptions are intended to be overly cautious to avoid disappointment.

I will be very happy to answer questions about the listing but please note that I have to work for a living so I will only be able to reply outside of working hours.

Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols LP - Virgin Records from 1977 - VP2086 - 7th Press; normal 12 tracks but sleeve lists Liar twice & Belsen, whilst missing Holidays in The Sun, Pretty Vacant and God Save The Queen.

Classic LP that is being sold as I have duplicate copies. I picked up several copies over the years after I bought the Gavin Walsh Sex Pistols collectors guide. I never realised until then that there were so many varieties with different sleeves, labels, barcodes and everything else that happened to it. I took a few chances if they were available at a good price in case it was one of the rarer ones!

This is a good copy with all 12 tracks and the classic mispressed sleeve. The cover is in great condition. There's some faint creasing to the front left of the sleeve and faint ringwear near the openong edge - as with most copies from this era these days. There are very minor stubs to the corners but nothing of any realistic concern in the context of up to 35 years of use. The spine is in fairly good condition, there are a few marks affecting some of the type. All in all, a very clean copy.

I've never played the record as it is a duplicate and I didn't need to. The spindle shows little sign of wear and whilst there are various hairline markings on the vinyl this looks pretty amazing to me for nearly 35 years old.

All in all, a fantastic example that deserves a good home.

Visual Grading:

Sleeve: Excellent (-) - see above for details, a very clean copy

Inner: Excellent (-) - plain white paper sleeve with no splits or notable marking

Disc: Excellent (-) - see above for details; I think this is a cautious marking but I'd prefer you to be pleasantly surprised by the VG+ than disappointed with an Exc -.

I'm not listing the tracks here as I guess that you already know what's on here - it's the usual 12 tracks in the usual order! If you really want to know however, send me a question.

Important change to postage details, please note carefully.

I have just lost a lot of money on posting my 1st set of sales and as I am selling at low prices I can’t afford to do this. I have therefore regrettably had to make my postage costs more realistic.

The revised charges are based entirely on cost as I do not charge for packaging. I tend to recycle packaging but I only use quality items and use strong stiffeners – which is half the reason why the costs have been so high. The other half of the reason is the Royal Mail’s recent price hike.

Postage for LP’s will be by Royal Mail 1st Class ‘Signed for’ in the UK. I will do these not signed for but this is entirely at your own risk. Ask for the cost when you win the item but as a guide, 1-2 LP’s 1st class would be £2.70 or for 2nd class £2.20.

All overseas items will be sent basic airmail. Please ask before bidding if insurance is required. If you are in Italy, South Africa, South America, Indonesia or Malaysia I accept no responsibility for lost parcels unless you pay extra for insurance. If you want to take insurance please contact me when you win the item and I will arrange a quote for you and invoice you accordingly.

UK: £3.65 for 1 or 2 LPs, £5.25 for 3 LP’s.

Europe: £4.85 for 1 LP, £6.75 for 2 LP’s, £7.85 for 3 LP’s

US, Canada, South America: £8.00 for 1 LP, £10.50 for 2 LP’s, £14.00 for 3 LP’s

Japan, Australia, Rest of world: £8.50 for 1 LP, £11.00 for 2 LP’s, £14.50 for 3 LP’s

Please note that double LP’s will have to be classed as 2 LP’s.
