Here I have a copy of
Sex Pistols
'The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle'
on rare original 'Porky Prime Cut' UK variant pressing 2x LP in gatefold sleeve with paper labels
released on Virgin Records VD 2510 in 1979
This is one of the intermediate UK pressing variants which were re adjusted . This pressing was followed by and replaced with other UK intermediate pressings which also had other minor differences. Eventually the pressing settled once the tracklisting running order and sleeve and labels had been decided and corrected.
This 1st pressing has the spine credits in red, it has a tracklisting insert but no stickers or 'Oliver Twist' copy printed on the reverse, and the tracklisting is in the recorrected order on the record and the labels. The ‘Sorry About Incorrect Track Listing is printed on both of the labels. 'You Need Hands' is printed in english.
Record 1 Side A has the vocal version of 'The God Save The Queen Symphony' followed by 'Johnny B Goode' & 'Road Runner' . Record 1 Side B starts with 'Substitute' and ends with both versions of 'Belsen Was A Gas'
Record 2 side C starts with 'Silly Thing' and also has 'I Wanna Be Me' added and ends with 'No One Is Innocent'
Record 2 side D has 'You Need Hands' after 'Friggin In The Riggin' and ends with 'Who Killed Bambi'.

Record 1 :- etched VD 2510 A4 stamped C3 2 etched tone & etched VD 2510 B11 stamped 2 etched tone
Record 2 :- stamped VD 2510 C-2U-1-2 1 C & etched A PORKY PRIME CUT stamped VD 2510 D-2U-1-2 1
The condition of the records are excellent.
The gatefold sleeve has creasing on the right hand edge.
The labels are clean with no spindle marks.
A great copy of this original UK pressing variant !
