Jamie Reid, the highly influential graphic designer responsible for the majority of the Sex Pistols' seminal artwork, produced this poster as part of the 1979 sales campaign for the soundtrack to the 'Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle' film. Unsurprisingly, American Express were distinctly unamused to find the design of their card appropriated for the poster and promptly took legal action against the band. The poster was rapidly withdrawn and undistributed copies were destroyed. Very few examples of this poster ever saw the light of day.

Jamie has signed a numbered limited edition of fifty original vintage posters, available exclusively from us. Each poster is supplied with a photograph of the signing session and an embossed certificate of authenticity. This poster is very rare in itself, and Jamie tells us he has never signed an edition before. Due to the rarity of the item he is unlikely to do so again.

A representative poster from the edition is shown in the photograph below. Poster dimensions are 70 x 100 cm (approx. 27" x 40 "). It has never been displayed and is in mint condition.

The purchaser will receive the lowest available limitation number remaining in the edition at the time of receipt of payment.

This poster would look absolutely stunning framed.
