Description
- 12 inch, mono, LP. 33 1/3 rpm
- This is the original first pressing from 1967 on the Parlophone label (see http://thebeatles-collection.com/wordpress/?s=sgt+pepper for details). It is the 'thin spine' version of the album cover

- There is also a card insert of 'Sgt. Pepper' cut-outs with facsimile signatures of Peter Blake and Jann Haworth
- Paper inner sleeve with an abstract pattern of waves of maroon, red, pink and white by the Dutch design team 'The Fool'

- Matrix marks:- Side 1: XEX 637-1
- Side 2: XEX 638-1
Condition
- The record itself appears to be in excellent condition apart from a very faint scratch at the start of side 1. There are no signs of warping.
- Based on the guidelines of the Record Collectors Guild, I would say this record is 'Very good+'. (http://www.recordcollectorsguild.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=17&page=1)
We have no facility to play records so we cannot attest to playback quality.
The outer sleeve has some very faint creases and marks and there is very slight cracking of the spine and some very faint ring wear.
The insert appears in perfect condition.
The inner sleeve has some very slight creasing and faint ring wear and a couple of very small marks.
