DEEP PURPLE - SHADES OF DEEP PURPLE
on PARLOPHONE RECORDS -PCS 7055 - STEREO (1968) - original 1st Pressing UK issue LP
Vinyl is in good condition, there are a few marks that can be heard as clicks on side two, and there is a light skip on my system during the organ solo on "mandrake root", ( I have an extremely light needle, so I will try on another record player and post a report) there are a few clicks on side one but overall it still plays well, I have listened to it and it sounds surprisingly good. Yellow and Black Parlophone labels are in excellent condition, some spindle wear and marking. The original laminated sleeve printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. is in very good condition, great spine, some light laminate creasing and edge wear, there is "patents pending" printed on the sleeve next to both mono and stereo numbers after " Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd", this may be rare, I don't think the later issues had this. matrix / pressing no's are : YEX 689-1 (1-A) and YEX 690-1 (1-N) - a very early pressing.
