Beautiful vinyl copy of perhaps the definitive "outsider music" record! The story of the Shaggs is, of course, legendary: patriarch Austin Wiggin decided he wanted to manage a girl group, so he conscripted his teenage daughters Dot, Helen, and Betty (and later Rachel) and bought them instruments. Though the girls cited influences such as the Monkees and Herman's Hermits, the music they created sounds like nothing else on earth, as if they were working from a description of what music was, without having actually heard it. The result is simultaneously relatable and alien, ramshackle and intricate, and, inevitably, a towering cult classic. The record was initially pressed in a private run of just a few hundred copies; this copy is from the album's early '80s rerelease on Rounder, which first brought the Shaggs to the masses. All the boys with cars want motorcycles, and all the booys with motorcycles want cars, but EVERYBODY wants this record!

Exceptions can be made for buyers willing to pay for Priority Mail, which is safer but much more expensive than First Class. Priority Mail can also be tracked.
