Hip-hop loves its personal beefs and ongoing musical feuds and this release on Tuff City has one of them squarely in focus. It features all the key players in the Roxanne feud from 1985. First up, 'Roxanne's Revenge' was produced by Marley Marl in response record to UTFO's 'Roxanne, Roxanne' and first came on the Spin label as Round 1. It was then reissued in 2009 and now gets another repress. It's a treasure trove of rap and early hip-hop goodness with boom bap drums and plenty of brilliantly expressive word play and magical mic work.
