Vinyl is in shiny M- condition overall, regardless of a few hairlines / faint paper scuffs from sleeve removal and a few mini faint marks from the original pressing process. Booming production sound. Some light surface noises. Item taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played a couple of times before the recording of the soundclip. Pen notations to both sides of label.  Promo sample not for sale sticker to one side of label. The fragile, London Records Of Canada paper sleeve has general wear from storage (see photo). Small archive stickers to front and back sleeve. Creasing and some small damages / mini tears, here and there. Record will be sent in a brand new poly lined inner / white card sleeve and the original paper sleeve too. Rare 45!!!

WE'VE GONE TOO FAR / LOVE SIGNS ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by SHARON LEE WILLIAMS produced and arranged by LEON ARONSON. Original CANADIAN pressing on the WAM RECORDS label (WAM 101), from 1977. Little known yet desirable modern soul double-sider by the lead singer who fronted Montreal studio group, Basic Black & Pearl with label producer and keyboard player, Leon Aronson. An obscure and elusive item, even in Canada, and yet another deftly sophisticated example of the genre with that crossover disco ambience. Seductive and potent vocals that just glide with the music throughout both sides. LOVE SIGNS is uptempo with infectious bassline / unusual disco rhythms / orchestrations and smooth AOR style guitar shredding (no doubt played by Basic Black & Pearls' Bobby Cohen ;) Filtered dub FX to the sexy backing singers and strings help intensify the euphoria. WE'VE GONE TOO FAR is anthemic soul sounding and features another infectious arrangement... 2-step drum and bassline hook with distinct rhythm changes at the bridges and a spacey undercurrent via the keyboards of Aronson. Great for DJs with booming production. Unlike certain other WAM label singles from Canada, this particular release (as far as we know) was never pressed up on Polydor for the American market or on the Bus Stop label in the UK. All the WAM label singles come with a generic, London Records Of Canada sleeve as they were the original distributors. Top copy, taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played a couple of times before the recording of our soundclip. Seldom comes up for sale.
