Hard to find, original limited edition 1976 Sheffield direct-to-disc LP in deluxe box.
This is an original Sheffield Lab Direct-to-Disk, Limited Edition Audiophile Pressing. Sheffield are the pioneers of Direct-To-Disc recording and had much to do with the advent of the "audiophile" label put on recordings that exemplify top standards in recording, mastering and pressing. Long out of print, these original Sheffields are considered to be some of the finest recordings ever produced.

Original, first edition textured Sheffield box is in beautiful condition. Corners are sharp, sides rigid and there is now wear evident on front, back or sides. There seems to be a slight discoloration on the top left corner but this looks to be a manufacturing blemish rather than age or wear. Full color, two sided insert (with a great photo of Harry!) is like new. There are no spindle marks on the label. Vinyl looks like new and plays beautifully.

Review: Originally released in the late '70s by Sheffeld Labs, Still Harry After All These Years, is a MUST HAVE for ANY Harry James fan. The direct-to-disc format was incredible for music reproduction... Even James said, "In 36 years of recording, I have never been so pleased with the sound." I heartily agree. His version of "Caravan" is the BEST I've ever heard, "Moonglow" will put you in a trance, while the fun "Sanford and Son" theme will marvel you with his band's musicianship. This has GOT to be some of James' best work... NOT to be missed.
