Description
Available here is a 12" vinyl LP by Shirley & Dolly Collins - Anthems In Eden. Issued in the UK by Harvest in 1969, it’s a 1st pressing with the catalogue number SHVL 754.
Identifiers - It has all of the necessary identifiers for the 1st pressing and there is no EMI logo on the inner labels (a feature of reissues).

Vinyl Condition - Good - I think it’s fair to say this has been a much-loved and played record. It bears a smattering of light surface marks, scuffs and one or two small scratches and the overall sound is a reflection of this condition. I’ve listened all the way through and surprisingly there was is only one small jump (on side one) and no sticking. However, clicks are evident, periodic, with some sequential. Background crackle and noise is present throughout and variable in audibility. There is also a touch of sound distortion at times due to the wear.
Sleeve Condition - Good+ - Original gatefold sleeve, laminated front and back. Light edge and corner wear/rubbing, with a small ragged nick at the top front. Edges are also a little discoloured or grubby where the laminate comes up a touch short. A previous owner’s name appears at the top edge inside. Inner white, die-cut, poly-lined sleeve is probably the original but the plastic has separated from the paper sleeve.
Despite the condition, this is still an original UK 1st pressing record and a very collectible folk classic. Copies often command high prices, especially those in mint condition.
