DESCRIPTION :
SHIVER- Walpurgis-
(MARIS MUSIC 20501, GERMANY 1969) without a doubt this belongs amongst the top 5 European Psych Prog LP’s ever (along with PATERNOSTER and IRISH COFFEE), and this is an ORIGINAL 1st press, as seen in Pokora vol 1001 page 24 with 4 stars on the GERMAN MARIS GOLDEN Label MARIS 20501, from 1969. Lots of acid fuzz leads with organ, piano, flute and a progressive but dark overall feel with top notch musicianship.. Inner gatefold cover with very cool group action pictures. Full laminated cover still retains its shiny gloss with perfect edges and intact spine, no lamination problems and only some corner wear and shelf wear along the opening edge, therefore downgraded to EX. Vinyl has a few but light superficial marks and grades very conservatively VG++ to EX- but plays good with a clear sound and without major disturbances. Really a very very nice copy!! (I would like to add that this particular copy was graded EX/EX by the Top collector who sold this to me and in view of the fact that this is an online auction, i downgraded to VG++ for the benefit of the buyer and start this auction at a 1 dollar bid with no reserve.
Furthermore, i am offering this with a special bonus: An original copy of the elusive only single released by shiver also featuring the Gore GIGER cover (but this time quite colourful) on the MARIS GOLDEN label 20 005. 1969 ORIGINAL German pressing in clean EX/EX. Fantastic Doomy Monster Prog from Switzerland. First time ever you will get the chance to own the LP and single together! ..heavy bids please!
