Description

This 1932 album has been added to the National Registry. This is the very FIRST Broadway show album to include original cast members (Helen Morgan and Paul Robeson) from the 1927 musical. The cover art was taken from the sheet music for the Broadway show which, in turn, had been derived from the cover of Edna Ferber's 1926 novel. (See photo - sheet music and book not included). The four 12" Brunswick records are in excellent shape and the album is complete and intact except for the spine. This is a duplicate of one I will keep in my collection and not many of these treasures have survived the last 86 years. Thank you for looking.
