Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. - The first hits compilation of the Rolling Stones is still one of the most potent collections of singles that one can find. Listening to it in 1966 or today, one can understand how, almost prematurely for the 1960s -- as most of the material here dates from 1964 or 1965 --
The Stones set themselves up as the decade's most visible rock & roll rebels. The defiant, in-your-face fuzztone riff and sexually frustrated lyrics of "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and the frenetic pounding punk anthem "Get Off of My Cloud" are highlights of a 12-song set that has no weak points, only peaks -- the louder-than-life rhythm guitars on "It's All Over Now" and "The Last Time," the wailing R&B of "Time Is on My Side," the balladry, folk, and soul style of "As Tears Go By" and "Tell Me," and all of the rest make for a body of work that's still amazing to hear decades after the fact. Appearing as it did in the late winter of 1966, this collection completely missed the group's drift into psychedelia, but "BIG HITS" is still the most concentrated dose of the early Stones at their most accessible that is to be had, short of simply playing their first five U.S. albums. The artwork and photography were pretty cool too, and this original LP has one of rock's early classic gatefold album designs with the color photo pages catching the band in all their striking glory.

CONDITION:-
- The cover: rated: M- Very uncommonly CLEAN in original factory cellophane! Even more uncommon is the original custom designed song titles sticker on the outside of the cellophane. Now after 49 years the outer cellophane has come apart at the seams, a bit as well as a couple of tears in the cellophane, the back cover is missing cellophane at bottom left area. Otherwise the actual cover remains very strong and colorful (see photos!!) Meaning the wear prone THICK gatefold cover is overall very impressive everywhere without wear. The multi colorful STONES photo pages are nicely intact inside the gatefold cover and never been opened. Altogether the item looks great(!) Solid bright colors, no split seams, no bends, NO delete marks, been well handled over the past 54 years!
- The vinyl: rated: "EX" (excellent loads of clean shine over both sides, delivers sparkling clean audio all the way ... The royal blue and silver London labels are very clean = spotless.
Overall exceptionally clean final collection copy!
