Here is a 1969 UK DEMO SINGLE PLAYED ONLY ONCE OR TWICE FROM AN OBSCURE PSYCHEDELIC/BEAT GROUP WHO ONLY RELEASED 2 SINGLES. Also known as THE SHAME and connected with King Crimson + Emerson , Lake and Palmer. This 45 DID NOT SELL AT ALL. Standard issues tend to sell for AT THE VERY LEAST my starting price of £75!!!!!!. The "A"side is a Prominent AND Powerful hammond organ lead Psychedelic mid paced song with semi-hazy harmony vocals+ a bit of phasing at the start and end!!! A very strong "B" side-"Love" with heavy,bass to the fore production-gutsy mix!!This is often on Collectors wants lists and almost IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE. THATS THE BASIC STUFF and NOW HERE'S AN IN DEPTH DESCRIPTION!! . MOST 1960s 45's were played on OLDER equipment with even OLDER styli, Nasty HEAVY PICKUPS, or on cheapo box type players that ENCOURAGED the use of an AUTOCHANGER which would SCUFF any disc in seconds. ANY DEMO COPY THAT SURVIVES IN NEAR MINT CONDITION IS A JOY TO BEHOLD AND A MUST FOR ANY SERIOUS PSYCHEDELIC/BEAT GROUP FAN. DEMO RECORDS WERE PRESSED IN A QUANTITY OF JUST A FEW HUNDRED-IN ADVANCE FOR DJs AND THE MEDIA-MOST WERE THROWN AWAY/DAMAGED OR LOST. YOU MAY NEVER GET A CHANCE TO OWN SUCH A FANTASTIC ITEM AGAIN!!!! LOOKING AT THE DISC ITSELF IN STRONG LIGHT>>>>>>>>>>>THERE ARE NO MARKS WHATSOEVER ON THE "A"SIDE-JUST A FEW FAINT ONES ON THE "B" and THEY DO NOT SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!! .I DO NOT SKIM/WORK IN DUBIOUS FLUIDS OR CHEAT LIKE SOME DEALERS.BOTH OF THE LABELS HAVE A TINY"STRIP STAIN"WHERE A THIN LABEL HAS BEEN REMOVED-SEE BOTH PHOTOS-YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE QUALITY!!!!!!!!!!!!Housed in a clean and correct ORIGINAL COMPANY COVER. I test on a lightweight pickup of approx 2 grammes and listen with the treble full on and no filtering or mono switch used-I LISTEN IN THE QUIET COMPUTER/MUSIC ROOM/HOME OFFICE Located in a QUIET CUL-DE-SAC AWAY FROM TRAFFIC NOISE/PHONES/SCREAMING BABIES etc. I LISTEN AT A DECENT VOLUME. I LISTEN AS IF I WOULD BE BUYING FOR MYSELF. I AM NOT ONE OF THESE"RIP OFF"MERCHANTS WHO SAY EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL AND SUPER RARE- I TELL IT LIKE IT IS . This was played ONLY ONCE OR TWICE but there are NO LOUD CLICKS OR BUMPS INFACT I HEARD NO SURFACE NOISE AT ALL. Just the VISUAL SLIGHT"B"side SURFACE MARKS LOWER THE GRADE TO NEAR MINT.THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO WORRY ABOUT !!!!!!!! .I report this AS THE TRUTH. IT IS NOT A 100% PERFECT MINT DISC-BUT NOT FAR BEHIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!REMEMBER,THE VISUAL SURFACE MARKS ON THE "B"SIDE RESULT IN MY NEAR MINT GRADING. DON'T RECALL SEEING THIS AS A DEMO BEFORE!!! This disc has been selected from the collection of a FORMER BBC RADIO ONE DJ who was sent this DEMO in 1969 and has kept away from light and heat in a series of protective cardboard boxes that house about 50 singles for OVER 35 years!!!!!!!!! I WAS PROBABLY THE ONLY OTHER PERSON TO LOOK AT THIS DISC SINCE 1969!!!!!!!!!
