SID NATHAN King Records Head DJ LP JAMES BROWN-Look!
SID NATHAN LP OF HIM SPEAKING TO KING DISTRIBUTORS-WILD
Here is an extremely rare and oddball spoken word album of Sid Nathan, legendary founder of King Records (who found James Brown,) describing in his highly eccentric way his secrets for success in the music business. Nathan made a tape in the late 50's for his distributors around the country, instructing them in how he wanted them to conduct business on King's behalf. He tells them how to listen to songs that writers submit, how to lease new tracks to release, yells at his listeners, and much more in a very very odd way, surrounded by a group of yes-men who complement him ceaselessly. Tom Noonan, the late record business legend and former editor of Billboard Magazine, got a copy of this notorious tape in the early 70's from a former King employee and pressed 100 copies of it on a one-sided LP, for Nathan's friends and former employees. This is one of those copies, in mint condition. This literally has to heard to be believed ! Extremely rare and amazing.CLICK HERE TO SEE OUR "ME" PAGE FOR MORE ABOUT OUR HIGH-END RARE RECORDS AND ONE-OF-A-KIND MUSIC COLLECTIBLES.

We accept payment by PayPal and now by Credit Card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Switch and Solo.)
We welcome International buyers and ship around the world every week.
US & Canada Shipping: $10 for 1-2 LP's by insured Priority Mail (Ebay’s recent rule change requires us to offer Media Mail shipping for records, at $4.00 for 1 LP. As this is a very slow method of shipping and uninsured, we cannot guarantee safe delivery by this method and strongly recommend paying extra for the much quicker and safer Priority Mail.) $18 for 1-2 posters, shipped priority mail in a new mailer/tube & US orders are automatically insured for up to $200 in value. Record awards are $28 or $40 for oversized ones/ones with glass fronts. Calif. buyers add 8.25% sales tax (calculated automatically by Paypal.) All other items shipped at cost.
International Shipping: $18 for 1 LP airmail without insurance. $4 for each additional LP; $24 for 1-2 posters. All other items shipped at cost. Returns: If anything we sell does not meet with your satisfaction, please notify us within a week of it’s arrival and you may return it for a full refund. Upon receipt of the item, we will refund the purchase price within 5 days. Guarantee: Everything we sell is guaranteed to be authentic with no time limit. Because of problems with the Italian Post Office, we highly recommend either insured or registered mail for all Italian orders and cannot be responsible for any order shipped to Italy without one or the other of these.
