Artist: Kejei with chorus and drums
Tracks: Mbogbeini gonga / Gboyei-lo kei wilima
An example from the very first session of commercial recordings actually recorded onsite in Sierra Leone! The Germans recorded this ca. 1930 and these Parlophons and Odeons from this period are some of the rarest African discs of the time. Music is deeply traditional, with straining vocals and drumming.
Condition: E-- (light wear, even, some marks, sm dig that passes, still plays quite well)
