This auction is for a Duane Eddy LP. Have 'Twangy' Guitar Will Travel. Duane Eddy His 'Twangy' Guitar. Jamie Records Stereo ST LP 3000. On the back of the record it has penned in "To Mac With best wishes for the future Duane Eddy 7/11/60". You can see it from the picture. The cover for the record is completely split on the spine. It has someone's name (Rose) in the upper left corner on the front cover. I'd call it fair condition. Top seam is starting to split. I'd say the LP itself is in very good shape. The two most inside cuts on the 1st side have a scratch.
The cover of this album is different from the other 20 or so copies of this LP on Ebay, so I think this is a rarer issue.
I compared the signature with some other Duane Eddy items on E-bay, and it's not exactly the same. It's more "modest" than some of the other signatures. I don't have any reason to believe this is fake, though. I got the LP when an old gentleman in my apartment building died and I helped the manager clean out his stuff and take stuff to the dump. He has a small collection of LPs with a lot of DJ issues. It hasn't been bought and sold and wasn't being represented as anything. I just happened to see the signature. Thus I think it's probably genuine, but I'm not going to guarantee it and will not accept a return if you buy the record and decide you don't think it's genuine. Buy at your own risk.
Also, I've not sold any LPs on e-bay for about 5 years (since I moved to Hawaii), but when I was living in Louisiana I sold hundreds of LPs and never had a dispute about the condition with anyone. I'll ship this media mail, so it will take longer to get to you, so please be patient. I've set the shipping at "free". So if the price takes off I'll eat the cost and ship it faster post.
