Signed 1965 Graham Bond Organisation - There's a Bond Between Us LP- Columbia 33SX1750 - XAX2950-1/XAX2951-1 - Mono. All original record, cover and inner sleeve from 1965, in generally fair condition. The back of the outer cover has been signed by Graham Bond, Ginger Baker, Dick Heckstall-Smith and Mike Falana, who had replaced Jack Bruce in a 1967 band revamp. This was done for me, in front of me, at a function in Luton Tech at some time between 1967 and 1969. I was involved in the running of dances there at that time, so I can verify these signatures as genuine. In addition to the signatures, there is some annotation on the cover, inner sleeve and record. There are some wear marks on the front face of the cover, where the disc has been in place, and also there is wear to the corners. All the joined edges are intact and the spine is readable. The colours are clean and bright. The rear face is a bit grubby and discoloured with age, with slight damage to the open edge which has been repaired with sellotape. The print is clear, undamaged and readable. There are very small sellotape repairs/reinforcing to the top corners of the original printed inner sleeve, and also sellotape repairs to the centre of both sides and the bottom edge. The original clear plastic liner is still in place There are creases in the corners of the inner sleeve. The inner sleeve has some slight discolouration due to age. Record plays very well on all tracks with good definition. There is a definite scratch part way through the last track on side 1. Also possibly briefly in the middle of track3 on the same side and part way through the last track on side2 ( Brilliant Ginger Baker drum solo). However these last 2 might not be actual scratches and could well be rectified by a deep clean. There is background crackle to varying degrees on both sides, but mainly between tracks. There is some scratches and scuffing visible on both sides of the vinyl, but this does not seem to affect the sound quality on most tracks. This is why I have rated the disc Fair rather than Good. This LP has only ever been cleaned with soap and water, so I believe it would definitely benefit from a deep clean. The outer sleeve is in a plastic cover to protect the signatures, which are perhaps the main interest point of this LP. My LP collection has been stored upright in boxes for some years mostly without being played, so now I am disposing of my record collection because of downsizing. Happy to combine postage.
