Description
Super rare mono 1950s Jubilee / Jay-Gee Jackie McLean Quintet LP - with Donald Byrd, Mal Waldron, Doug Watkins, Ronald Tucker. From other images I have found online, it may be signed by Jackie McLean -- the signature definitely follows patterns from other images you can find online if you search "Jackie McLean Signature OR Autograph" on Google Image Search. I am NOT a handwriting expert, so I make no guarantees. Cover art by Si Leichman.
The cover has visible ware to the corners, top and bottom seams are split but somebody put a strip of tape over them both...not very visible though. Mild discoloring on the front and back.
Vinyl is pretty rough -- plenty of scratches on both sides, none of them feel deep enough to cause a skip, but no guarantees there either. It will definitely have a lot of surface noise, that i can guarantee :)
For jazz collectors and Jackie McLean fans, this is a must have, and at an affordable price!
