Review:

The guitar album of the '70s… worth unparalleled praise is Danny Gatton's 1978 release Redneck Jazz.  This album showcases Danny on guitar and banjo, with such stellar talent as Buddy Emmons on pedal steel, pianist Dick Heintze, and guitar/vocal support from Evan Johns.  This was the work that earned Gatton the title “World's Greatest Unknown Guitarist”  by Guitar Player magazine.
