PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
INCREDIBLE lot of photos and Twelve Dreams Of Dr. Sardonicus album by Spirit that have been SIGNED by the late, great guitar legend Randy California, his stepfather and equally legendary drummer Ed Cassidy and bassist Larry "Fuzzy" Knight!!! This set was included in a collection I purchased in the mid-2000s from a gentleman here in Chicago who was an amateur photographer and had seen the band dozens of times, always with camera in hand. He developed some 8 X 10 glossy photos to have an "old-timey" (i.e. sepia-toned) look and in 1979, along with his wife and friend, he got to meet the band after a show, which is where these signatures were obtained. There is one photo of Randy that is not signed and one publicity photo that is fully signed. The LP cover has a fantastic UFO doodle drawn by Randy and dated 1992 but I can neither confirm nor deny if that's the year it was obtained or its significance. Ed Cassidy's signatures are all dated 1979. The LP itself is in VG+/VG++ condition and is on Epic's orange label with the gatefold cover in nice VG condition with NO splits or seams. An amazing collection so don't miss it as this LP stands as a towering 1970s psych landmark.
