RALPH STEADMAN AUTOGRAPH on The WHO Happy Jack / Whiskey Man picture sleeve 1967 Decca 32114
CONDITION: Happy Jack plays VG+ Whiskey Man plays G+ scratch at start & staticky toward the end. SLEEVE: VG+ small hole punch, no edge splits, a number of crease marks The sleeve & the 45 have what I assume is a small promo or cut out hole punched in it. (see pix)
I must have looked at this 20/30 times before it occurred to me that it might be Steadman's signature. I checked if that signature was printed on other picture sleeves. It isn't & after further checking I'm convinced it is original. I don't give out COA's but, if for any reason you have doubts you can return it in 30 days (in basically the same condition) for a refund.
I am constantly checking garage sales, estate sales and thrift stores for records. Since I live in the L.A. area finding autographs is not terribly uncommon, but this one is particularly cool.
Grading
NM (Near Mint): Record and cover appear virtually unmarked.
EX: Looks & plays just under near mint, may have just a very few visual marks
VG+ : Used but not abused. Will likely have some relatively slight audible imperfections.
VG : Many only surface lines or may have a minor scratch .Some background sound but still enjoyable.
VG-: significant background sound from various defects but music always quite audible above it.
Under VG- I rarely list unless it is something really special.
