SILVER BIRCH - SILVER BIRCH - BRAYFORD RECORDS 

ORIGINAL VINYL LP. VERY HARD TO FIND ON THE BRAYFORD RECORDS LABEL.THIS HAS BECOME ONE OF THE HARDEST TO FIND FOLK LP'S AND IS HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER.

This is one of the most highly sought after original UK folk private presses and extremely hard to find. This lovely 6 piece of traditional covers and self composed tracks with gentle honest harmonies was created by a group from Grimsby (originally known as the Forestry Commission) comprising Martin Bartlett (vocals , fiddle ), Jayne Clark ( vocals , harmonium ), Geoff Liles ( vocals , harmonium , mandolin , autoharp , guitar , bells ), Derek Rushmer ( vocals , guitar , autoharp , recorder , bells ), Angie Seal ( vocals , tambourine bells ), Dave Woods ( vocals , autoharp , guitar , bells , recorders ) and who produced this sole album. Sleeve- Laminated to the front.Very clean to the front.Unlaminated rear has useual age wear and a small nick/tear to the opening.Overall,strong and presentable for its age.  

Inners-Comes with its Made in England polylined inner.  

Labels- The labels show spindle marks and scuffing.Printed is BR/02-A and BR/02-B. 

Vinyl- Still retains a full shine and deep gloss to both sides-lovely looking vinyl.Under light there is the odd surface scratch and mark.Lovely and clean vinyl.

Playback- I am pleased to say there are no skips and jumps.There are,in places,some ticks with crackle,clicks and occasional pops.However,the majority of the lp I found played with a lovely clarity.Very strong and clear.   

I highly collectable Folk classic.Not to be missed.
