THIS IS A NEAR MINT COPY OF THE 1968 SIMON AND GARFUNKEL CLASSIC "BOOKENDS" WHICH INCLUDE THE TITLE TRACK ALONG WITH "AMERICA" AND "MRS ROBINSON".
THIS IS NOT A FIRST PRESSING, BUT IT IS AN EARLY EXAMPLE WITH THE ORANGE CBS LABELS AND THE CORRECT CONTEMPORARY INNER SLEEVE. IT IS ONE OF A BATCH OF SIMON AND GARFUNKEL ALBUMS WHICH WE BELIEVE CAME FROM A CLOSED-DOWN RECORD STORE AND WHICH HAVE BEEN IN STORAGE FOR MANY YEARS.
THE VINYL IS IN SUPERB CONDITION AND PLAYS WITHOUT SKIPS, STICKS OR LOUD POPS. THERE ARE NO MARKS OR SCUFFS, NO SPINDLE TRACES ON THE LABELS, AND UNTIL WE PLAY-TESTED IT, THE RECORD HAS PROBABLY NEVER BEEN PLAYED .
THE OUTER SLEEVE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, WITH A FULLY READABLE AND INTACT SPINE, AND NO WRITING, STICKERS OR MARKS.
THE INNER SLEEVE IS A CBS COMPANY RECORD BAG ADVERTISING OTHER CONTEMPORY ALBUMS, AND IS ORIGINAL AND UNDAMAGED.
A VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF A HIGHLY INFLUENTIAL AND COLLECTABLE CLASSIC WHICH SHOULD BE IN EVERY SERIOUS ROCK COLLECTION, AND I DOUBT YOU WILL FIND A BETTER ORIGINAL LABEL COPY ANYWHERE.

Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump. Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
