SIMON & GARFUNKEL 1966 1st PRESSING Sounds Of Silence-MONO #CL-2469- 2 EYE "SOUNDS OF SILENCE" IN BLUE NO SONGS IN BOX AT BOTTOM OF BACK COVER "ANGIE" LISTED ON BACK COVER- LATER PRESSINGS HAS "ANJI"
Earliest U.S. vinyl pressings meet all of the following criteria for the covers and labels:
Covers…
- Front cover has SIMON & GARFUNKEL in white lettering and, beneath it, SOUNDS OF SILENCE in blue.
- No song listing is included on the front cover nor in the box at the bottom of the back cover.
- On the back cover, Tiger Beat magazine is shown in both pictures of Art Garfunkel (jacket pocket and in-hand). The images of Tiger Beat magazine were subsequently removed.
- Track A6 is shown as “Angie” on the back cover. This was subsequently changed to “Anji”.
vinyl- Excellent Shine,a few light acuffs and scratches cover- light wear around the edges and corners
lp- I listened to the entire lp ON MY BRAND NEW AUDIO-TECHNICA #AT-LP60X STEREO SYSTEM and it Plays with EXCELLENT sound, music is loud and clear, a couple very light crackles- does not skip on my Audio - Technica #AT-LP60X hooked up to my brand new BOSE speakers.
