HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY 'ONE OFF' FRIDAY NIGHT AUCTIONS (ENDING LATE FRIDAY 30TH MAY!)!!!!

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Simon & Garkfunkel called "Wednesday Morning 3 a.m." and is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Orange CBS label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS EASILY SIMON & GARFUNKEL'S ALL TIME RAREST UK LP EVER (AS A 1ST PRESSING!) - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE (ESPECIALLY IN MEGA RARE MONO!)!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1968 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK, IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS 1ST PRESSED IN MEGA RARE MONO!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK BACK IN VERY LATE 1968, NEARLY EVERY 1ST PRESSING WAS MADE IN COMMON STEREO - WITH VIRTUALLY NONE IN MEGA RARE MONO AT ALL!!!!  MOST SHOPS HAD EVEN STOPPED STOCKING MONOs ALTOGETHER BY THIS POINT - AND THEY WERE ONLY AVAILABLE BY 'SPECIAL ORDER' ONLY!!!!  AS A RESULT, FINDING A 1ST PRESSING OF THIS INCREDIBLE LP IN MEGA RARE MONO IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE - AS BARELY ANY WERE EVER MADE!!!!

BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP EVEN RARER STILL, IS THAT IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - AND WAS ONLY EVER MADE LIKE THIS FOR 2 OR 3 MONTHS ONLY!!!!  THIS LP WAS ORIGINALLY RELEASED IN 1964 IN THE U.S.A. ONLY - AND WAS NEVER GIVEN A UK RELEASE!!!!  AND SO - WHEN CBS DID EVENTUALLY FIRST RELEASE IT IN THE UK IN VERY LATE 1968, MOST BUYERS AVOIDED IT (AS THEY HAD ALREADY BOUGHT U.S. IMPORTS) AND IT BARELY SOLD AT ALL - COMPARED TO THEIR OTHER LPs!!!!  AND IT WAS ONLY WHEN THE PRICE DROPPED ON RE-ISSUES IN THE EARLY 1970s, THAT THIS LP THEN BEGIN SELLING IN HUGE NUMBERS!!!!  AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT MAKES THIS LP SO INCREDIBLY RARE!!!!  BECAUSE - ALTHOUGH YOU DO SEE A FEW COPIES OF THIS LP BEING OFFERED FOR SALE QUITE REGULARLY - ALMOST NONE OF THEM ARE 100% GENIUNE 1968 1ST PRESSINGS (LIKE THIS ONE!), AND ARE ACTUALLY MUCH LATER RE-ISSUES!!!!  AND EVEN THE OCCASIONAL 1ST PRESSING YOU DO SEE, IS ALMOST NEVER IN MEGA RARE MONO!!!!  I WILL NOW EXPLAIN WHAT MAKES THIS LP A 100% GENIUNE UK 1ST PRESSING - AND THIS WILL SHOW JUST EXACTLY WHY THIS LP IS SO VERY VERY RARE!!!!  HERE ARE THE 1ST PRESS ONLY DETAILS:-

1) THIS LP HAS A LAMINATED COVER (ALL LATER ONES FROM 1970 ONWARDS DID NOT!) 

2) THIS LP HAS NO 'STEREO' TEXT ON THE LABELS (BECAUSE IT IS MONO!) - WHEREAS ALL LATER ONES FROM 1969 ONWARDS DID!

3) THE RECORD HAS 1ST PRESS ONLY A1/B1 MONO MATRIX ENDINGS (ALL LATER ONES DID NOT!)

4) THE LABELS ARE BOTH FULLY 'TEXTURED' (LATER ONES ARE NOT!)

5) THE COVER IS MADE BY 'E.J.DAY' AND CARRIES THE ALL IMPORTANT 'PATENT PENDING' TEXT (LATER ONES DID NOT!)

6) AND LASTLY & MOST IMPORTANTLY - IN THE TOP LEFT CORNER OF THE COVER FRONT, IT HAS A 'SINGLE' CBS BOX LOGO - WITH '63370' ABOVE IT!!!!  AND THIS ONLY HAPPENED ON THE 'DAY OF RELEASE' 1ST PRESSINGS ONLY - WITH ALL LATER ONES HAVING A LONG 'RECTANGUAR' LOGO IN ITS PLACE, WITH 'STEREO' PRINTED ABOVE IT (AFTER MONOs HAD BEEN DELETED!)!!!!

SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST UK MONO 1ST PRESSING YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET - WITH BARELY ANY BEING MADE LIKE THIS!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB CONDITION - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1968 UK MONO 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'TEXTURED' ORANGE MONO CBS LABEL, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS A1/B1 MONO MATRIXES, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS CBS ADVERTISING INNER SLEEVE, AND 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'E.J.DAY' LAMINATED 'PATENT PENDING' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL CBS UK 1st Pressing from 1968 and is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is BPG 63370 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Orange CBS label (see picture) and is a much MUCH rarer UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in AWESOME condition!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS AMAZING!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Excellent++++ if not MINT(Minus)!!!!  AWESOME RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press CBS advertising inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'E.J.Day' Laminated 'Patent Pending' Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, barely ANY spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), VERY shiny laminate, only some very VERY minor evidence of 'tipping in' to a couple of the EXTREME corner tips, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in SUPERB condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must MEGA STRICTLY grade Very Good++++ if not better - and is very VERY close to a grade above!!!!  BRILLIANT COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
