Description
Simply Red – Swedish Music Industry Award
This is a genuine Swedish Music Industry Gold Award for the sales of the album, ‘A New Flame’, and the single, ‘If You Don’t Know Me By Now’. It was presented in 1990 to Simply Red’s UK record company, WEA Records. The award is in a gold metal frame measuring 21x14 inches (55x35cms) and is in good condition. Mounted within the frame are the metal stamper discs used to press the actual LP and single, as well as a dedication plaque that includes the following text:

To recognize sales of more than
50.000 units of “A New Flame”
25.000 of “If You Don’t Know Me By Now”
WEA RECORDS AB SWEDEN 1990
Only a handful of these awards would’ve been presented within the music industry (in this case to the record company) so it should not be confused with any kind of replica or ‘limited edition’ discs that are sold direct to the public.

Payment can be made by cheque/bankers draft in UK Pounds. Paypal is also accepted, however, if you have an unconfirmed address, then you will need to contact me before placing your bid. Cash can also be accepted, but only if the item is personally collected.
