Description

Nice copy of the original 1966 pressing of the classic Sinatra at the Sands double-LP on Reprise RS-1019. Original yellow & blue “smile” labels. This is widely considered to be among the great live albums ever recorded, along with Judy at Carnegie Hall and Belafonte’s album recorded in the same place… anyhow this is a beautiful original, with both discs in excellent shape. There are a couple of superficial scuffs, mainly on sides 2 and 4, but barely at all. They are entirely superficial and don’t make the tiniest sound. The whole album plays flawlessly all the way through, without a single tiny tick or even light crackle. A perfect playing copy. The cover has been cut across both top seams, apparently for easier access. They don’t seem to be torn; they appear to have been deliberately cut, with little tabs left in the center. Hard to say, but in any case the top seams are completely split. So there is that issue, and there is a bit of general wear as well, with a slight ring and a bit of edgewear and rubbed corners. Still it looks quite nice and is quite presentable. In any case the discs are just beautiful. A wonderful listen.
