Throw Down Your Arms is Sinéad O'Connor's seventh studio album, and her first reggae album. O'Connor sings cover versions of classic roots reggae songs, with production by Sly and Robbie. The album was recorded in Kingston, Jamaica at Tuff Gong Studios and Anchor Studios in 2004 and released by Chocolate and Vanilla on 4 October 2005. It sold over 250,000 copies worldwide, with 10 percent of the profits going to support Rastafari elders in Jamaica.
This is an original 1st pressing of this double album LP 1, side A and B Vinyl has a few long surface scratches that are visible but do not affect audio. Side C and D of LP 2 are NM. There are a few spindle marks on the center labels. The cover is still in the original shrinkwrap. However there are some light corner creases and a small amount of discoloration on the bottom left corner and light ring wear. Overall it is in beautiful shape and the marks are from storage rather than play or handling. The original glossy paper printed inner sleeves are included but are creased at the corners and have a few small tears on the edges. I would rate the vinyl VG+ and the cover VG. These issues are visible in the photos. I am the original owner and this record has been played only a handful of times. It has been carefully stored for the last 11 years. Please look at the pictures carefully, I have tried to show the condition. Pictures are considered part of the description and I have tried to highlight & describe flaws if there are any.
