OK - BACK TO LPs OF VARIOUS STYLES - This is a reasonably priced 1954 VANGUARD JAZZ SHOWCASE RECORDS U.S. MONO DEEP GROOVE 10" self-titled LP from The Sir Charles Thompson Quartet. It is Vanguard Jazz Showcase Records U.S. catalog number VRS-8006, maroon labels with silver print, thick rigid vinyl deep groove pressing, thick cardboard cover.

Condition of record is a high VG++/low EX with a very few light visible surface marks, none of which can be felt and none of which will affect play. Condition of cover is VG- with splits down the entire length of the spine ands the left hand and right hand 2" of the top edge (I have carefully and neatly repaired these splits by taping from the inside), some brown adhesive residue along the spine on both sides of the cover from some previously removed old clear tape, a little bit of writing in blue pen at the bottom right corner of the back cover, some small wrinkles in the front cover slick at the top edge, some contact and ring wear, and some general wear along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no water damage, tears, or stickers. This original 1954 10" LP would be a choice addition to any jazz record collection!
