(Top rare...this is the sound of the 70s at their most wicked...UK-based Sir Collins presenting roots style & cultural fashion...killer killer killer tunes...9 tracks at all...includes the Brixton Youths' brilliant "Rockers Music" & "Black Star" and "Collins Blood", "Collins Sweat" and "Collins Ghost" by Collins Music Wheelers...as well as tunes by Leona Collins & Big Dread...comes as super-dooper rare 1977 original press on soundman C. C. Collins' "Collins Music"-label from the UK...calling all collectors & selectors...this is an emergency...don't miss out!!!)
ORIGINAL PRESS (NOT A RE-PRESS!)
FEATURE: CREATION VIBES
WAX 'N' SOUND: ex- / vg-, both sides show light general wear.
A-side has light surface marks and light surface scratches, looks fine & plays great w/ full punch & great, transparent sound, has very light occasional crackle.
B-side has 1 surface scratch reaching from start to end of side 2 causing hardly any clicks, 1 surface scratch reaching from the very beginning of track one to the middle of track three - causing occasional clicks, 1 scratch reaching from the last 3rd of track 1 to the end of the first 3rd of track three - this one causes clicks throughout. B-side also has light surface marks and light surface scratches similar to those on side 1. Does NOT jump, does NOT stick!
Apart from the crackle and clicks caused by these 3 scratches even side 2 plays very nicely w/ heavy punch & clear sound.
I attached a rather long soundfile comprising of both sides, so you hopefully get an idea what I tried to describe above. Soundclip starts w/ side 1, side 2 starts at 3:30. Please don't bid w/o listening to the clip!
LABEL: both sides show lightest general wear only, NO writings/markings, NO damages apart from a tiny white spot on A-side, nearly perfect - watch the scan, please!
SLEEVE: original sleeve w/ "Sir Collins Music Wheel"-stamper on front & back, handwritten "Peace and Love from Collins" on the front, shows general wear, ringwear, light edge-wear, a bit tatty, NO damages, NO writings/markins apart from pencil-written CatNo. beneath the "Sir Collins"-stamper on the front - this is very good condition - please note: The bright stripe at the bottom comes from the scanning-process!!!! Something 'bout Sound + Vision: We shouldn't rely on visual appearance alone (as pretty looks isn’t all as they say) - therefore these records are graded after their visual appearance and their sound quality! I personally prefer a record with crackling but strong sound + punch to one playing clean but with surface noise from the pressing (as we find with re-pressed discs - too - often). Grading records is a very subjective thing but I try hard to be objective as a human being can be (yes indeed, this seller is a human being). THIS IS MY VINYL GRADING SCALE: EX (= really great - EX means "excellent", really...) VG (= nice, if you don't have an excellent one - by the way: VG means "very good"...) G (= playable, but you might find a better one - G means "good", but this term may be a bit euphemistic to reggae-vinyl-novices. Be realistic: a record graded G doesn't jump nor stick, but that's the best I can say about it...) P (= just a collection-filler for the hard-edged + hardest-boiled collectors + selectors + all the rudegals out there - P stands for "poor", yunno...)
