Chart success in the US for the title song led to a hurried release for this band's second album, although perhaps the most famous song, "She's About A Mover, originated a few years prior with another version.
This and "Mendocino" are only two of the many nearly perfect tracks on this record.
"Texas Me" is genius on triple levels: there is the poetry of the lyrics, soulful delivery from the singer, and a haunting recording fat with echoey, multi-tracked vocal and fiddle.
When the listener reaches the end, "Baby It Just Don't Matter" it is as if one has strolled through an old neighbourhood searching for a lost sound in the air, only to find a good, friendly rock band jamming in a garage right down the block

My play-check at volume found little to fault the bright, breezy sound - just a couple of minor light ticks throughout the course of both sides, but no other audible distractions of any kind
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT++
Apart from light shop creases to the extremities and some impression on the front, the sleeve is clean and unmarked with a deep glossy sheen to the surfaces and no real wear to speak of to the edges - all spine text is clear and bold
