USA 1985 Side A Test Pressing 

UNPLAYED ! ! 


In 1985, the Sisters of Mercy released the First and Last and Always LP in the USA on Elektra (EK 60405).  The first side of the LP was different from its European release. Different mixes were swapped in, etc. They are described in the quote from Discogs below. As a result, a test pressing was required to be able to approve those changes, sonically etc. 


This is that single sided test pressing. It has been stored since release, and has never been played. It is in its original white cardboard generic sleeve, with faded handwriting on the spine.

Description quote from Discogs which lists the record, but has never seen copy that was sold:

"The A side contains different mixes compared to the standard European pressing. Notably, Walk Away is the so-called "different mix", and A Rock And A Hard Place has a panning error during the synth bass intro. In addition, No Time To Cry uses a dryer drum mix, and Marian exhibits more reverb on the snare when compared to the European vinyl."
