Tunisian wizard Aziz Haddad turns up on Binh's Time Passages roughly a decade after the label itself launched, by which present point its house style (somewhat sinister electro, house and techno with a still melodic quality) is firmly established. Haddad's been on their radar for a while via the TPX sublabel debut, but this double EP is the fuller statement, piling eight tracks of self-stated genre-blurring house/techno/cinema-score hybrid, some of which Binh has already road-tested on festival systems before the public got a sniff. The impression is of a summer banger set, taking up penumbral space between stab-heavy hardcore, sunset trance and mystical ambient house.
