Description

This is the original 1961 Australian release of this album, it was the second album released by Skeeter Davis. The concept of the album was to have Skeeter Davis sing "Answer songs" to six songs done by male artists,also on RCA. The front cover lists the original songs with the answer songs printed in red underneath each original (eg Jim Reeves sings "He'll Have to Go" Skeeter sings "He'll Have to Stay" and so on). The answer songs are all done to the same tune, and in the same style as the originals. The vinyl is clean and shiny on both sides with a few minor scuffs, There is some low level surface noise on both sides but the songs are clear and bright despite this(G++). There is also a name written in black marker pen on both labels, this is black on black and not too jarring(see photos 5 & 6). The front cover is clean with a glossy sheen, the back cover has some stains but has a clean low sheen overall(G+) and the card board is still rigid with no tears and only some slight ring wear near the opening.
