Description
This is my near perfect copy of SKIN ALLEY's 2nd LP on UK CBS Records (Orange labels) - 64140 - Stereo. The record has stunning audio with out crackle, pops and definately no jumps and in fact this copy shows only slight signs of ever being played and has only one visible spindle mark on side 1 and non on Side 2! The gatefold sleeve is one of the hardest to find in perfect shape and usually suffers from massive colour loss, particularly at the edges and the spine as it as it is made from delicate card and like so many gatefold CBS Lps of this period, is un-laminated. This combination of un-laminated and very soft card has proved fatal to many copies over the years! This sleeve has survived in great shape and where the usual storage wear has happened, (bottom & top edge), they have been very carefully and succesfully re-coloured! This copy has a strong and fully readable spine! There is a small sticker removal mark at the top r/h corner and this has been dealt with in the same way, so the sleeve really does look clean, tidy and 'new' looking, with just a 'shadow' of the sticker mark remaining!! The CBS labels are also clean and tidy! So altogether a great example of a record that is so hard to find with a near perfect and 'new' feeling sleeve, coupled with stunning 1st Press audio!
I pack all my records well to arrive with the buyer as they left me! I always start my auctions low and let the marketplace decide their true value.
