Description

'SKINHEAD TRAIN’ / ‘KENT PEOPLE' - Laurel Aitken / The Gruvy Beats (Nu Beat NB 047, 1969)

A classic stomping skinhead anthem from the golden age of reggae...rare and highly sought after.

In very good condition, plays without any jumps or pops (most of my vinyl has been sitting in the loft for about 25 years). Very slight surface noise, some slight surface marks on both sides but nothing that interferes with playing. Vinyl is nice and shiny, the centre is intact, and the label is in very good shape (see photos).

T’s & C’s:  MY AUCTIONS RUN TO THE END – NO BUY-IT-NOW, DEALS OR OFFERS
(Sorry, but I don’t reply to emails asking for a Buy-it-Now price, etc.)

PayPal ONLY please – no exceptions (except for cash on collection by arrangement – I’m on the Bucks/Herts border near Hemel Hempstead – 15 mins. from M1 junction 8 / M25 junction 20 and 5 mins. from the A41).

Postage: £4.10 for 1st Class Signed For  - if postage is any less, I will refund the difference – the PO keep changing their size/price policy. The item will have to be signed for, and is therefore trackable. I'm happy to combine postage if it saves you money - but thanks to the PO, it doesn't always work out that way...

Please pay within 4 days - I always post ASAP once cleared payment is received. I only post to the UK - NO exceptions.

FEEDBACK: please leave feedback if you are happy with your purchase.
Once I know you have received the item & are happy with it, I will do the same for you.
Any problem - please contact me ASAP.

I’m not a dealer - I’ve collected Jamaican records since the 1960s and I’m now selling all my Ska/Rock Steady/Reggae/Dub vinyl, including more real rarities…watch this space!

Testing: all my records have been played (and some of the rarest converted to digital) on an ION USB turntable. This is the only turntable I have and therefore my only way of testing vinyl. Any that stick or jump will not be sold on eBay.

Grading: I’m not familiar with the record dealer vinyl grading system, but I will do my best to give an honest description of the condition, appearance and sound quality of my vinyl. Any problems at all will be sorted out – I have 100% positive feedback and always do my best to keep the customer satisfied.

Thanks for looking – and please keep an eye on my listings for more rare tunes!
