Up for auction is an original 1960's US CUSTOM PRESSING LP "Mobam" by Skip and the Creations on Justice Records (JLP-152).
Extremely rare original Justice Recording! All garage collectors are familiar with the rarity of original Justice recordings, and this is definitely one of the toughies. Receives a rarity rating of 3 in the Hans Pokora book 1001 Record Collector Dreams. The Goldmine record guide values a Near Mint copy at $400. Musically it's the usual Justice style of semi-inept teen garage frat-rock covers, although I do think this is one of the better Justice records thanks to the go-go organ sounds that remind me of Question Mark and the Mysterians.
CONDITION OF COVER: VG. Clear tape repair along part of bottom seam. Some yellowish aging spots and general shelf wear. Still, very presentable.
CONDITION OF VINYL: VG/VG-. Visually, it's a VG- with some scuffs and a couple marks that can be felt with the fingernail. Plays MUCH BETTER than you would expect - mostly a solid VG sometimes even approaching VG+. Sure, there's some surface noise, but it doesn't overwhelm the music and is mainly noticeable during the silence between tracks.
