Very rare Skrewdriver record, the only one on the independent label TJM!

If you collect Skrewdriver records or TJM records, then this is a 'Must Have' for your collection!

The band's third and rarest recording.  Made at the independent TJM recording studio in Manchester, England just after the band had been dropped by one of the major record labels and before they achieved notoriety. This record has the catalogue number TJM 4 and features the late Ian Stewart.  As well as 'Built Up, Knocked Down', the flipside has the tracks 'A Case of Pride' (Stewart) and 'Breakout' (Jones).

This record came to me as bankrupt stock from a closed down record shop.  You may find the occasional copy of this record that is described as 'ex/ex', but this copy has NEVER been played since I acquired it, apart from immediately prior to listing in order to give a full description!!  Where else are you going to find one in this sort of condition?? (The sound file you are now listening to was recorded from a copy in similar condition.  This is a highly compressed 'taster'.  High compression affects the quality of the sound you hear.)  I have read that this much sought after record has been sold by rare record dealers for over $200 in EX/EX condition so don't miss your chance to bag this bargain!!  There's no telling when or if another chance will come your way!!!

The cover has picked up a few minor scuffs, creases and dents having been in storage for 25+ years.  There is a little light ring wear on both sides of the sleeve where the sleeve has rubbed against another sleeve and a very small grease (?) stain to the rear of the sleeve.  There are a few 'pops' and crackles from defects in the vinyl, including a line which looks like a scratch about 3 mm long on the 'A' side.  Microscopic examination shows this to be a defect in the vinyl.

Please remember also that the production values did not match those of the likes of EMI.

The image is a scan made on a flat bed scanner of the actual sleeve, which is genuine.  There appears to be an area of discoloration in the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve.  This is just the way the scanner has cast shadows on the sleeve!  The scans do not do justice to the record and I am sure you will be delighted with its condition when viewed normally.

Shipping to the United States by 'International Signed For' service will cost $10.50 of which approximately $9.50 will be the amount charged by the Post Office.
