SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES!!  This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1975 VIRGIN RECORDS UK PRESSING OF THE 1975 UK VIRGIN RECORDS LP titled 'Desperate Straights', a collaboration between the two noted British prog-rock outfits Slapp Happy and Henry Cow.  It is Virgin Records UK catalog number V-2024, gatefold cover, green labels with the circular Virgin logo with the likeness of two virgins, rigid vinyl pressing.  Personnel: Dagmar Krause-vocals, Wurlitzer / Peter Blegvad-guitar, voice / Anthony Moore-piano / John Greaves-bass guitar, piano / Chris Cutler-drums, percussion / Tim Hodgkinson-clarinet, piano / Fred Frith-guitar, violin / assisted by Geoff Leigh-flute / Pierre Moerlin-percussion / Muchsin Campbell-French horn / Mongezi Fera-trumpet / Nick Evans-trombone / Lindsay Cooper-oboe, bassoon.  Tracks: Some Questions About Hats, The Owl, A Worm Is At Work, Bad Alchemy, Europa, Desperate Straights, Riding Tigers, Apes In Capes, Strayed, Giants, Excerpt From 'The Messiah', In The Sickbay, Caucasian Lullaby.   Condition of record is a real nice high VG+/VG++ with just a few light surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play.   Condition of gatefold cover is a mid VG+ with a couple of slight wrinkles, two slightly soft corners, some contact and ring wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners.  Cover has no splits, tears, stickers, or writing.  This scarce LP would be an choice addition to any 1970s prog-rock record collection!
