Description
Sleater-Kinney - Call the Doctor LP Chainsaw Records original issue
VG++/EX
Vinyl has plenty of gloss and sounds great. Has a few light hairlines and paper scuffs. Nothing to be concerned about.
Cover has one minor corner ding and a very minor scuff about the size of a pencil tip.
Comes with insert, which has a couple small creases.
Record grades are in the following format: Vinyl Grade/Cover Grade
I am an extremely critical grader. If there’s any doubt, I’ll choose the lower category to be on the safe side. I have high standards when I purchase records for myself and I assume that you do, too. I also frequently listen to the record while evaluating its grade—particularly if there is a scuff/scratch and I want to know if it’s audible or not. Below are my grading standards:
GRADING STANDARDS FOR RECORDS
Mint: Factory sealed, no corner or edge dings, still in shrink-wrap.
NM: The record shows no signs of having ever been played. I only use this grade if I cannot see any marks at all on the vinyl.
EX: Record surfaces are bright and clean but may have a few light paper scuffs or superficial surface marks that do not affect play and certainly cannot be felt.
VG+: A well cared-for used record. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have a few paper scuffs or light scratches. May have some very light surface noise or isolated crackles and pops. If any marks can be felt with a finger, I will indicate that in the description.
VG: Record shows visible signs of wear. Plays with some surface noise especially in soft passages, but certainly without any skips. Groove wear may be noticeable, as well as some scratches that may cause clicks or pops. Once again, I will indicate if any marks can be felt with a finger and how many there are.
VG-: Lots of scratches and/or background noise. I only sell records in this condition if they are extremely collectable. Still no skips, but definitely have marks that can be felt and heard.
GRADING STANDARDS FOR JACKETS
NM: Near new condition. Virtually no wear to faces, edges or corners.
EX: Some very minor wear to faces, edges and/or corners of covers.
VG+: May have minor ring wear and/or moderate wear to edges and corners. May have some light creases and/or other minor defects as noted in the description.
VG: May have considerable ring wear, noticeably worn edges and corners, and/or light soiling. Other defects may be present if specified in the description.
VG-: Heavier soiling, damaged edges/corners, other serious defects as noted.
An added + means condition approaches a higher grade.
NOTE ON SHIPPING. I am an experienced record handler. I will ship your record in a polyethylene bag with the record inside the sleeve but outside of the jacket. The record will be placed in a cardboard box specifically designed to mail records.
Bid with confidence. I have 100% positive feedback on eBay and I aim to keep it that way.
Records are returnable if you feel that they have been misrepresented in my description.
