I purchased this record directly from excello records probably over 30 years ago. I believe the record was released in 1961. I see no date on the jacket or the record.
The record is clean and I can see no scratches. While Raining in my heart was one of my favorite songs I cannot remember playing it much. I will guess 3 to 5 times. I may be off a bit, but that was a long time ago. I had good equipment but did not use it much.
In the 60's I bought a lot of blues but never consider myself a record collector. I did not abuse records and always kept them in their jackets. They never, ever, went to parties. I do not know how to grade records so if you have any question please let me know

Blues harmonica player
Slim Harpo learned to play guitar and harmonica while working on the docks in New Orleans. By the early 1940’s he was playing in local clubs. He started recording in the mid-1950’s and had a string of hits with "I’m A King Bee", "Rainin’ In My Heart", "Scratch My Back" and many others, many of which have been covered by white Blues rockers.
His success led him to play as a favorite of the psychedelic concert circuit during the late 1960’s. He remained popular until his death from a heart attack in 1970.
