SLIM JOHNSON
& the Singing Cowboys
Leroy Johnson is another one of those authentic act caught up in sessions at Rocky Hill, N.C. in the pre-war years. He was also part of Walter Hurdt’s outfit so there’s some overlap on the people playing on these records. He had a fairly small output, only two sessions are all.
This single is from a session in February of 1940 and pairs up his version of the Ted Daffan tune “Truck Driver’s Blues” with his original “What If My Dreams Don’t Come True?”
This is being sold to raise some needed funds for the Texas Musicians Museum. We appreciate any help in our mission to preserve music.
