Description

SLIM WILLIS BAND -- Wine Me Up Baby/I Sayed That -- hard to find, original late 1960's (?) U.S. 45 single.  Truly insane, organ-fueled, echo-drenched funk-soul-R&B monsterpiece here on the A-side "Wine Me Up Baby" -- unlike anything else I've ever heard except maybe Andre Williams' mindblowing "Silky" album.  Sound is so raw and primitive it's almost garage-funk.  Not kidding you -- this is mindblowing stuff.  B-side "I Sayed That" is primitive Northern Soul/R&B stomper with more deranged organ.  In generic sleeve:  Record:  both sides of the label are heavily damaged with tears and stains, "Wine Me Up" side more so -- but fortunately the vinyl itself is extremely clean.  I'd grade vinyl at VG+++ and labels at Poor.  Does not come up for sale often these days.  On Reginald label, U.S. pressing.
