SLS 5006 BEETHOVEN Fidelio KLEMPERER Ludwig Vickers NEAR MINT UK EMI HMV
Beethoven: Fidelio.
Ludwig; Vickers; Frick; Berry.The Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus, Otto Klemperer.
A set fresh to the market which was acquired directly from a looked after and carefully stored private collection.
UK pressed EMI HMV stereo three LP box set with libretto insert, SLS 5006.
Individual discs are catalogued as ASD 3068 - 3070 and all discs share the pictured black and white Nipper postage stamp label with white perimeter band.
Vinyl in near mint condition. Spider trail marks around the spindle areas indicates just a couple of plays or so. Clearly a carefully handled and played set. The playing surfaces have an as new gloss with just a very few of the faintest of sleeve removal type paper scuffs.
The booklet insert is near mint bar a dot of a mark to front wrap which leeches through onto the first page - this really is very small and minor.
Box close to EX with some minor whitening rubbing here and there. Given the nature of these black matt textured SLS boxes the wear is unusually slight and near impossible to avoid if the set is used/stored. The spine is still in good shape and not faded or heavily rubbed.
