Description

SLY & THE FAMILY STONE Stand! VINYL LP Orig 1969 1st Pressing UK Direction EX!

I’m listing a few original British release Sly & The Family Stone LPs this week; please do check out my other items - I am happy to combine and make savings on postage and packing.  It’s usually possible to send 2 or 3 LPs for the postage price of one (within the UK).
Here is a very nice condition copy of the first pressing of ‘Stand!’.  It’s the original UK issue on Direction S8-63655 and it carries the matrix A1/B1.  The sleeve is front laminated, as issued.
It is certainly an EX condition copy (others would describe it as near mint).  There is a visible  mark at the beginning of ‘Sex Machine’.  I’ve played this track and you can hear, very briefly, the pop but it is not particularly noticeable because the track is quite busy and masks it.  Aside from that the vinyl is in great condition - at least EX - shiny and looks barely played.

CONDITION AND GRADING NOTE:
Thank you for looking at my listing.
I aim to be accurate with my gradings.  I have been buying and selling records for over 40 years so have experience in identifying and describing condition of vinyl.  My feedback reflects the fact that I try very hard to deliver a good buying experience.
Unless otherwise stated, all the records I sell are previously owned and used.  They are visually - not aurally - graded using, as a guide, the Record Collector system.  If I am in doubt about the condition of the record, I do not list it.
Please remember vinyl has limitations.  The quality of the pressing varies according to date and country of manufacture.  Even when a vinyl LP is mint and unplayed, there is a possibility it will produce extraneous noises.  Records described as EX may still produce the odd pop and crackle - and this may not be from mis-use but from the manufacturing process.
These records are, unless stated, commercial - and not audiophile - pressings.
RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Thank you for looking at my auction. I aim to be accurate with my descriptions but, if for any reason, I have made a mistake and you are unhappy with the item, please give me the opportunity to make things right. All items are posted via standard post (unless otherwise directed) and I will obtain, as proof of postage, a Certificate of Posting. On valuable items, you might want to consider having them sent via Registered or Signed For and taking out insurance, which I can organise
