Description

THE SMALL FACES
Fully signed Decca Records promotional postcard from 1965. Signed by all four members of the original line-up, which included Jimmy Winston.
Also, an original demo copy of the Small Faces 1965 7" debut vinyl single, Whatcha Gonna Do About It, in original Decca sleeve.
This is a signed photograph/post-card by the first line-up of the Small Faces, with the message "Be nice" from the great Steve Marriott, and "It's nice to be nice" signed "Plonk Ta", Ronnie Lane's nickname. These are the most legible signatures on the card. In the top left corner it says "To Keith", and underneath this another signature, Kenney Jones, then Jimmy Winston. This is an extremely rare item, especially with Jimmy Winston's autograph included, as he was in the band for less than a year. This must be from 1965, the very year the band started, as Winston was later replaced by Ian Mclagan in 1966. So, this is a FANTASTIC opportunity to acquire a piece of pop/mod culture history. While I do not have a certificate of authentication, I am confident that these autographs are the real thing; the person I bought them from was a genuine autograph/record collector and he had a framed collection of signed cards from his favourite bands of the sixties, when they played in the north east.
The card itself is in very good condition; there is sellotape residue around the edges, as the photos show, but no tears or creases. The rear of the card has random names/numbers written on it. There appears to be a telephone number for "Stevie Marriott".
The autographed card and single were mounted in a frame when I purchased them. I will post them like this, unless instructed otherwise by the winning bidder.  Also included is a Decca Company sleeve, in excellent condition.
Don't forget there is the rare Small Faces demo debut single, Whatcha Gonna Do About It, also included in the sale. Compared to the official release, there were very few demo copies pressed, as they were only issued to radio stations/DJs etc, not for sale to the general public.

Condition of Vinyl/Lables: VG
The record plays to a strong VG standard, no serious faults to mention.  It looks fine, with some light surface marks, which are especially visible under a harsh light. The labels are fine, and the four-pronged centre is fully intact. There is a very small nick on the B side label, which does not affect any text - see pics.
Decca Company Sleeve: Ex
There is an original company sleeve, in Excellent condition, should the winning bidder not wish to display the single in the frame.
To sum up. a unique opportunity to purchase a part of pop history - chances like this do not often come along, so grab it while you can!
