Description
"Los Caritas" - Small Faces - Capitol Records EPEM-10280 - four song Mexican EP.
EP is by "Les Caritas" which in Spanish means "The Faces". (The literal translation should have been "Caras Pequenas"). Outside of their UK Immediate stuff this is one of the rarest Small Faces records. The cover sleeve was an outtake from their Ogden's photo shoot by Gerard Mankovitz and at the time of release had rarely been seen. So, right off the bat you have a collectible sleeve by a legendary UK photographer. Secondly, Small Faces were on Capitol Records in Mexico. While there is mention of Immediate on the labels the Immediate logo was not displayed. Thirdly, the choice of songs is a bit odd. Here Come The Nice, Itchycoo Park, Lazy Sunday and I'm Only Dreaming. Tin Soldier was skipped over in favor of Lazy Sunday. So, three hits and one flip. Itchycoo Park/I"m Only Dreaming had been released as a Mexican single so Tin Soldier would have made a better choice than I'm Only Dreaming for this EP. But I digress....
This EP was played from start to finish. The two labels are clean - like new. Some light marks - nothing deep. Some surface noise but nothing distracting.

The sleeve has a few creases, a slight indentation on the top right (see pictures) and very slight beginnings of ring wear. Sleeve overall is: VG
I am one of the very few people in the world that owns a complete UK 45/EP/LP collection of Immediate. I also have a complete US collection and hundreds of European Immediate pressings as well as this rare Mexican EP.
I started collecting the label in 1967 and completed it in 2000. I also collected the Small Faces and offshoot bands. As difficult as it is to part with these treasures your well placed bids will help me free them to a good home.
